Maneesha Chhikara, PhD has a diverse work experience. Currently, they are the Director at Putnam since 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at SmartAnalyst starting from 2014. These roles include Director - Oncology, Associate Director - Oncology, and Engagement Manager and Advisor - Oncology. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2016. Maneesha also has previous experience as a Reimbursement and Health Economic Intern (EMEA) at Medtronic in 2016, a Project Manager- Oncology Lifesciences at SmartAnalyst from 2012 to 2014, and as a Research Associate at Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011. Furthermore, they have worked as a Visiting Fellow at the National Institutes of Health from 2005 to 2010 and as a Research Scientist at Ranbaxy from 2004 to 2008. Maneesha obtained their PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2003 and completed their postgraduation at Jamia Millia Islamia from 1993 to 1995.

Maneesha Chhikara, PhD has an extensive education history. Maneesha obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in BioSciences from Jamia Millia Islamia in 1993. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biosciences from the same institution, which they completed in 1995. In 1996, they enrolled in Jawaharlal Nehru Vishvavidyalaya, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2003.

In 2015 and 2016, Maneesha Chhikara pursued a Master's Degree in International Health Policy at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), which they obtained through The Chevening Scholarship. Throughout their educational journey, they also completed various certifications. In 2004, they obtained a certification in General Course on Intellectual Property (DL-101) from the World Intellectual Property Organization. In 2006, they completed a Course in Principles of Clinical Pharmacology at the National Institutes of Health, followed by the Introduction to the Principles and Practices of Clinical Research (IPPCR) in 2007, also at the National Institutes of Health. In 2013, they obtained certifications in Basics of Health Economics from The World Bank and Health Technology Assessment (MOOC) from The University of Sheffield, ScHARR, UK. Lastly, in 2015, they completed a certification in Measuring and Valuing Health at The University of Sheffield International Faculty, CITY College.
