In 2021, they began working as the Vice President of Technology at SmartAction, providing the architecture and overseeing the development of a new SaaS-style cloud-based version of their existing IVR product. Michael also took on the role of Lead Software Developer at Nextech AR Solutions, rebuilding from scratch a core chat SignalR service, integrating Chime communication, and designing a set of NuGet packages. In 2018, they became the Full Stack .NET Developer and Architect at ixStrata, working on a major initiative to build a highly customizable web application for managing asset valuations. From 2016 to 2014, they worked at Capital Group | American Funds as a Senior Application Developer, at KForce as a Lead Software Developer, and at HEB as a Senior Software Developer. In 2012, they started working at Avanade as a Senior Software Engineer, participating in a major medical insurance project.
