Gauthier Tyrel dePoix has extensive work experience in various roles within the paper industry. Gauthier started their career as a salesman for MEDIAPAC, representing German and Yugoslavian paper mills. Gauthier then worked at FINNPAP as a salesman and later as a sales director for publication papers. Gauthier joined UPM - The Biofore Company and served as the division director, where they successfully created the publication paper division and achieved a significant market share. Gauthier later became the sales and marketing director for two paper mills in Rouen. Following this, Gauthier worked at Stora Enso, holding several positions including managing director and CEO for France and North Africa, managing director for sales activities, senior vice president of sales and marketing for the magazine papers division, and director of the publication paper division. As a freelance consultant, they specialized in reorganization, cost optimization, and operational management for companies in the paper industry. Prior to their current role, Gauthier was the exclusive distributor for Shortcut France, an interactive app for printed products. Currently, they serve as the group CEO of Smart Wood.

Gauthier Tyrel dePoix has pursued various educational programs throughout their career. In 2002, they attended SELIP, the Stora Enso Top Executive Program, where they focused on leadership organization, strategy, and business management. The following year, in 2003, they successfully completed the program.

In 2004, Gauthier enrolled in the SEFP, StoraEnso Financial Program. During this period, they specialized in mathematical finance and obtained a Stora Enso internal Diploma upon graduation.

Their education also extends to the field of paper making. From 1986 to 1987, Gauthier attended the University of Paper Technology in Helsinki. Gauthier completed the program and acquired a KCL / Finnpap Diploma in paper making.

Additionally, in 1987 and 1988, they studied at IMD, focusing on sales and marketing. During this time, they completed the OLA (Organizational Learning In Action) program, contributing to their expertise in these areas.
