Dr Leigh A. Neal has a diverse work experience in the field of psychiatry. In 1994, they started their freelance work as a Civil Forensic Expert, preparing personal injury reports and giving evidence in court for both defendants and claimants. From 1994 to 2015, they gained extensive experience in this role.
In 1997, Dr Neal joined the Duchess of Kent Military Hospital and became the Hospital Commander, Head of Tri-Service PTSD Unit, and Consultant Psychiatrist. Dr Leigh A. held this position until 2000 when they moved to the Duchess of Kent Tri-Service Psychiatric Hospital and served as a Civilian Consultant General Adult and Liaison Psychiatrist.
From 2002 to 2008, Dr Neal worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Priory Hospital. Then, they joined the Bristol Trauma Clinic as a Consultant Psychiatrist from 2008 to 2011. After that, they became a Consultant Psychiatrist at the SouthWest Veterans Mental Health Service, starting in 2011 and continuing till the present day.
Since 2015, Dr Neal has been employed as the Medical Director at Smart TMS.
Dr Leigh A. Neal received a Certificate in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation from Maastricht University in 2015. In 2007, Dr Neal became a Fellow (FRCPsych) at the Royal College of Psychiatrists. In 1982, Dr Neal obtained a degree in Aviation Medicine from the RAF.
