Jeremy Gottlieb is a Senior Research Scientist at Smart Information Flow Technologies (SIFT) since August 2014, focusing on enhancing the interaction between automated systems and human operators. Previously, Jeremy served as a Ph.D. Candidate in Computer Science at UC Santa Cruz, held a collaborating role at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) to develop autonomous detection systems for ocean features, and worked as an adjunct professor at CSU Monterey Bay. Earlier experience includes managing the IRIS Mobile Robot project at The Mind Project and teaching various psychology and computer science courses as an Assistant Professor at Carthage College. Jeremy holds Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science and Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and Carnegie Mellon University, respectively, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Psychology from Carleton College.
