Kaj Karhu has an extensive work experience in the software development field. Kaj is currently working as a Senior Software Developer at Small Giant Games since August 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Managing Consultant at Columbia Road from September 2019 to August 2022. Before joining Columbia Road, they worked at Nosto as a Senior Software Developer from May 2013 to October 2019, where they were a part of the core R&D team responsible for developing and maintaining Nosto's cloud-based recommendation engine.

Earlier in their career, Kaj Karhu held positions at Smilehouse Oy and Innocasa Oy. At Smilehouse Oy, they worked as the Head of R&D from August 2012 to May 2013 and as a Software Developer from January 2010 to August 2012. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Developer at Smilehouse Oy from March 2007 to August 2009. Kaj started their career at Innocasa Oy as a Web Designer / Software Developer (PHP) from May 2005 to February 2007.

Kaj Karhu completed their education in Computer Science at the University of Helsinki. Kaj obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they continued their studies at the same institution and earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, Kaj Karhu acquired professional certifications such as the Contentful Certified Professional from Contentful in October 2019 and the Celum Tech Consultant from Celum in December 2012.
