Megan Belden

Megan Belden has an extensive background in marketing, communication, and public relations. Starting as a summer intern with MaxLove Project, they developed strong event planning and marketing skills while managing events such as Thrive Kitchen and CHOC Parties. Megan went on to work as a brand strategy and marketing intern for MaxLove Brand, where they established a marketing and branding strategy for new funding arm, created social media content, and developed the marketplace website. Prior to their current role as Marketing Manager for PicnicHealth, Megan worked as a digital marketing consultant for Good Rebel Studios, managing marketing strategy and messaging for purpose-driven small businesses. Megan also worked as an Account Coordinator, Public Relations Account Executive, and Digital Strategist for Calhoun & Company Communications LLC, a specialized public relations agency for wine and spirits. Megan obtained additional experience as a social media marketing intern at Echo Collective and as a marketing and public relations intern at Forte Mare, where they provided strategic insight, curated, monitored, and managed client social media accounts while expanding on previous social media strategic planning experience. Before all of these roles, Megan worked as a Scripps Fund Caller for Scripps College, where they implemented persuasive communication skills when corresponding with a diverse group of students, alumnae, and parents, and engaged dialogue about money and gifts to the college while maintaining a professional manner. Megan also produced and created written marketing content and video for Scripps’ digital outreach. Currently, as a Marketing Manager at PicnicHealth, Megan oversees patient marketing and acquisition for breast cancer, IgA nephropathy, myasthenia gravis, and Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH).

Megan Belden attended Mater Dei High School from 2010 to 2014. Megan then went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Politics with a focus in Middle Eastern Relations, Media, and American Politics from Scripps College from 2014 to 2018. During their time at Scripps College, they also obtained a certification in Design Thinking and Social Creativity from the LASPA Center in March 2017. In 2016, they studied Terrorism and Counterterrorism Operations at the DIS - Danish Institute in Scandinavia in Copenhagen for a semester. In 2019, they took courses in Design and Visual Communications, General at UC Berkeley Extension.
