Richard Papai is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in research and development, project management, and product innovation. Currently serving as Principal Engineer R&D at Sloan Valve Company since January 2012, Richard leads efforts in developing new innovations for mature products while ensuring alignment between R&D and Marketing. Previously, as Senior Mechanical Engineer at Dwyer Instruments from February 1995 to December 2011, Richard directed matrixed teams through the full development life cycle of key strategic products and effectively managed at-risk projects. Earlier roles include Project Engineer at Emerson's Mallory Controls Division and Team Leader at Johnson Controls, where Richard managed significant product lines and budgets. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Trine University, obtained between 1971 and 1976.
