John Maltby

Director Of Innovation And Systems Engineering at Sloan Valve

John Maltby started their work experience in 2011 as an Engineering Intern at Wrightwood Technologies Inc., where they assisted in the design and prototyping of a Counter Current Chromatography system. John then became a Controls Engineer at the same company, handling control systems for pumps. In 2013, they joined L.A.B Equipment as an Electrical and Controls Engineer. From 2014 to 2019, they worked at Cornelius, starting as a Test Engineer and progressing to Project Engineer II and finally becoming a Lead Engineer. Currently, they are the Director of Innovation and Systems Engineering at Sloan, a position they have held since April 2023.

John Maltby completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Anthropology and Film (double major) from Western Michigan University, from 2003 to 2007. John also holds additional certifications, including Machine Learning from Coursera, obtained in December 2014, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox, also from Coursera, obtained in September 2014.
