Karen Streeter has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and organizations. Karen most recently served as the Chief Advancement and Community Engagement Officer at Sheltered Living, Inc. since August 2019. Before that, they were the Executive Director at South Tulsa Community House from July 2017 to August 2019. Karen has also held positions such as Volunteer Coordinator at The Hospitality House of Tulsa, Director of Thrift Store at La Plata County Humane Society, Executive Director at Transitional Living Centers of Oklahoma, and Executive Director at Sheffield Place. Karen also worked as a Senior Tax Advisor at H&R Block and served as the Family Shelter Administrator at City Union Mission in the past.

Karen Streeter attended John Brown University from 1980 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
