George Nelson Jr. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. George began their career as a Maintenance Supervisor at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham in 2014. George then worked as a Services Technician at Hawthorne Residential Partners from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, they became a Maintenance Technician at The Barracks Townhomes. George joined the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs in 2018 as a Weatherization Program Manager. George also served on the Board of Directors at Bryan/College Station Habitat for Humanity during the same year. In 2019, George became a Chief Engineer at Oldham Goodwin Group, LLC, and later transitioned to the role of Area Director of Engineering. Currently, they serve as the Facilities Director Multifamily Management Services at the same company. In 2021, they also took on the role of Chapter President at SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE INC.
George Nelson Jr. has completed the following educational programs: a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) degree in Medical from Blinn College, Fire Fighting Phase 1 degree in Fire Science/Fire-fighting from Brayton Fire School, and an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) program at TEEX.
