Eron Lake's work experience begins with their most recent position as a Gameplay Engineer at Sledgehammer Games, starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Sr. Associate Gameplay Programmer at the same company from November 2020 to October 2022.
Before joining Sledgehammer Games, Eron was a Software Dev Engineer at Verizon Media from December 2017 to November 2020.
Eron also gained experience as a Gameplay Programmer at TribeVR, an Indie VR Game Studio. During their time at TribeVR from January 2018 to August 2018, they contributed to the development and launch of the game "Conjure Strike," focusing on character abilities, game logic, UI, VFX implementation, character ability design, and assisting with recruitment and testing.
Prior to that, Eron served as the CTO/Web Developer at Kuuza Here from December 2015 to January 2017, where they worked on web development.
They also had a Software Engineering Internship at Dell from June 2016 to September 2016, where they designed and tested a script using Python for the qualification of enterprise hard drives.
Eron's experience also includes roles as a GDIT (Graphic Design Information Technology) at UCSC Engaging Education from August 2015 to June 2016, where they managed technology resources, the center's server, and website.
They also worked at UC Santa Cruz as a 3D modeling tutor/grader from October 2014 to December 2015 and as an Intern from August 2014 to June 2015, focusing on event planning and programming for the African-American Diaspora student community.
Furthermore, Eron worked as an Educational Game Designer/Programmer/Artist at 2025 Labs from February 2015 to September 2015, designing and coding embedded web games for educational purposes.
Apart from their professional roles, Eron also worked as a Music Instructor at Santa Teresa High School in August and September 2014 and as a Freelance Animator during the same period.
Eron Lake attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2013 to 2017, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science and Game Design.
