Richard Trejo

Design Engineer at SLD Laser

Richard Trejo started their work experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Vanguard Automation in 1992. Richard was responsible for the concept and detailed design of the VAi6300 ball attach machine cell. Richard also trained all field service engineers assigned to the product. In 1999, they joined Spectra Physics Semiconductor Lasers as a Mechanical Designer, where they were accountable for the concept and design of LASER assembly tooling and fixtures. Richard also designed burn-in and test stations for the Multi-Bar Module (MBM) product line. In 2002, they worked as a Mechanical Designer at Kaman Aerospace and was responsible for detailed design for the manufacture of main mirror actuators, Penta Prism Structure, and the Spider Support Structure. Richard communicated and collaborated with senior engineers on proposed changes required by detailed design criteria. From 2003 to 2014, they worked at Lasertel Inc. as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they were responsible for new stack design integration for manufacturing, product design, product test, and assembly tooling design. Richard ensured that the physical design followed all current standards and aligned with the tooling structure in place. From 2014 to 2019, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Faxitron Bioptics, LLC. Currently, they are serving as a Design Engineer at SLD Laser since 2019.

Richard Trejo earned an Associate of Arts degree in Mechanical Design from ITT Technical Institute-Tucson. The duration of their education is not specified in the available information.
