Benjamin Swedlove

Member Of Technical Staff - Lead at SLD Laser

Benjamin Swedlove has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and research. Benjamin started their career as a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at NIST, where they worked on improving high magnification microscope images. Benjamin then joined the Alan G. MacDiarmid NanoTech Institute as a Graduate Researcher, focusing on nanotube yarns, lithium-ion batteries, fuel-powered artificial muscles, and displacement sensors. During this time, they also won the Undergraduate Research Scholar Award at UT Dallas for their work on improving battery performance.

From there, Benjamin joined the University of Texas at Dallas as a Graduate MEMS Researcher, where they developed MEMS Optoelectronic Sensors and published their findings. Benjamin then moved on to Cree, where they served as a Process Development Engineer, driving performance and production of new products while working with diverse teams to solve problems.

After their time at Cree, Benjamin joined Universal Display Corporation as an R&D Process Engineer, working on developing a novel OLED deposition process. Benjamin utilized data-driven analytics and created databases to monitor and derive insights from years of data.

Their most recent role was at KYOCERA SLD Laser, where Benjamin served as a Member of Technical Staff - Process Engineer. Benjamin worked on cutting-edge LaserLight products, providing support with recipes, programming, and databases.

Throughout their career, Benjamin has demonstrated a strong technical background and a focus on data-driven analysis and problem-solving.

Benjamin Swedlove pursued their education in the field of Electrical Engineering. Benjamin obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Following their undergraduate studies, Benjamin went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas from 2011 to 2012.

Additionally, Benjamin Swedlove has obtained additional certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. In January 2023, they completed the "Fundamentals of Project Planning and Management" course offered by the University of Virginia. In December 2017, they also completed the "Bill George on Self Awareness, Authenticity, and Leadership" course provided by LinkedIn.
