Nishan Mendis serves as the Chairman of SLASSCOM, where contributions include roles as Vice Chairman and Director of Finance, along with leadership of the Capacity Forum and participation in the Executive Committee of the Cyber Center of Excellence. Mendis is also a Board Member and General Council Member, leading the Global Trade & Investment Forum. Since October 2023, Mendis holds the position of Technology & Transformation Leader and Chief Information Officer for Sri Lanka and Maldives at Deloitte, following a significant tenure at PwC Sri Lanka as Executive Director and Technology Consulting Leader. Mendis's earlier career includes strategic roles at SasiaNet and Roomsnet, beginning as an Accounts Trainee at KPMG Sri Lanka. Educational qualifications include an ACMA in Management Accountancy from CIMA and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Science from the University of Peradeniya, complemented by membership in ISACA Sri Lanka.
