Ling Lin has been involved in the robotics industry since 2009 when they began working as a Software Engineer for Intel. In 2014, they became a Co-founder of SlamTec (RoboPeak), a research & development team in robotics platforms and applications.

Ling Lin obtained a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University between 2002 and 2006. Following this, they earned a Master's degree in Computer Software and Theory at the same university between 2006 and 2009.
