Andrea Melle has worked in a variety of roles in the software engineering field since 2008. In 2008, they worked as a teacher at Infologos, teaching Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, ActionScript, HTML, and CSS. In 2009, they worked as a Creative Developer intern at Eclettica-Akura, where they did graphics design for web and mobile apps and client-side development with Javascript, HTML, CSS, and ActionScript 3.0. In 2011, they worked as a Software Engineer intern at Panasonic San Jose Laboratory, where they worked on immersive gesture and touch 3D interfaces, gesture recognition from RGB-D, and OpenGL and Ogre3D graphics programming. In 2012, they worked as an R&D Software Engineer at Panasonic Silicon Valley Lab. In 2013, they worked as a Graduate Researcher at EURECOM, where they worked on visual privacy protection, video and image processing for surveillance applications, and drones and moving cameras applications in video surveillance. In 2014, they worked as a Lead Software Developer at Happy Finish. Finally, in 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer at Microsoft, and in 2019, they worked as a Software Engineer at SLAMcore Limited.
Andrea Melle completed a Bachelor degree in Media Engineering and Computer Engineering School from Politecnico di Torino between 2005 and 2009. Andrea then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Multimedia Engineering from EURECOM between 2010 and 2011. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Science in Media Engineering and Computer Engineering School from Politecnico di Torino between 2009 and 2012. In January 2022, they obtained a Modern Robotics: Mechanics, Planning, and Control Specialization certificate from Coursera.
