Brian O'Connor has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Brian started their career as a Business Analyst at Siemens in 2007 before transitioning to a Program Manager role as a Summer Intern at Microsoft in 2008. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a Consultant at Deloitte.
In 2013, Brian joined Slalom and worked as a Consultant, Solutions Architect, and later as a Solution Principal, delivering custom software solutions to clients in Atlanta. During their time at Slalom, they led projects such as the design and delivery of mobile apps and the implementation of a global digital asset management platform.
In 2017, Brian became the VP of Software Engineering at DISTILLIO, where they led a team in designing, building, and launching DISTILLIO, an application to assist in individual education programs. Brian also served as the Owner and IT Lead at True Respite Brewing Company from 2017, providing technical leadership and support.
In 2019, Brian joined Bresslergroup as the Software Engineer Manager, where they oversaw projects, supported sales pursuits, and built out the software engineering team. In 2020, they joined Pep Boys as the AVP of Systems Engineering, responsible for all software enabling service and store operations.
Most recently, Brian joined Slalom Build in 2021 as the Director of Software Engineering. Overall, they have demonstrated expertise in software engineering, project management, technical leadership, and team building throughout their career.
Brian O'Connor attended Essex High School from 2000 to 2004. Brian then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, completing their studies from 2004 to 2008. In 2017, Brian obtained the AWS Solutions Architect certification from Amazon Web Services.
