Mahmoud Zidan is a Structural Engineer at SL Rasch GmbH since December 2021, specializing in structural design and numerical simulations for special and lightweight construction. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Technical University of Munich from May 2020 to June 2021, where involvement in a research project focused on multi-fidelity robust design optimization using intrusive non-linear Model Order Reduction took place. Additionally, from May 2018 to March 2019, Mahmoud held the position of Graduate Student Assistant, developing Python tools for teaching courses on the Theory of Plates and Non-Linear Finite Element Methods. Mahmoud's early experience includes a Construction Engineer internship at COMBINED GROUP CONTRACTING COMPANY, focusing on two projects: the Volkswagen Showroom and NATO Kuwait Regional Center. Mahmoud Zidan holds a Master of Science in Computational Mechanics from the Technical University of Munich and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Kuwait University.
