Seán Blake has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Seán is currently working as a Senior Data Scientist at SkySpecs. Prior to this, they served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center from August 2018 to October 2021. Seán also co-founded CodifyDublin in February 2016 and held the position of Co-Founder until January 2019. Before that, they worked as a Curriculum Developer at Student2Scientist from April 2014 to December 2015. Seán's early work experience includes an internship at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies where they worked as a Geophysics Intern during the summer of 2012. During this internship, they contributed to geothermal magnetotelluric surveys across Ireland as part of a geophysics team.

Seán Blake has an extensive education history in the field of Astrophysics. Seán pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Astrophysics at Trinity College Dublin from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they continued their studies at the same institution and attained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Astrophysics from 2013 to 2017. During their doctoral program, they also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Statistics from Trinity College Dublin between 2014 and 2015, showcasing their interdisciplinary approach to research.
