Cody Messer

Hardware Design Engineer at SkySpecs

Cody Messer has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Cody recently worked at SkySpecs as a Hardware Design Engineer specializing in drones and robotics from November 2022. In this role, Cody was responsible for designing and developing hardware for complex robotics systems, with a focus on prototyping, testing, and debugging. Cody used CAD and CAE skills and their knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems to create innovative hardware solutions that seamlessly integrated with software systems.

Prior to SkySpecs, Cody owned IFS Drone Services, LLC from August 2018 to April 2023. Before that, they worked as a Skilled Laborer at Dane County from August 2018 to March 2020, where they were involved in landfill and airport operations. From August 2015 to August 2018, they worked in Transportation Maintenance at the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Cody also gained managerial experience as the Manager at Shauns Towing and Recovery from October 2009 to August 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Snowcat/Lift Mechanic at Aspen Skiing Company from August 2009 to March 2011.

Cody Messer's education history includes attending the Community College of the Air Force from 1999 to 2001, where they studied Airframe Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance Technology/Technician. Before that, they completed the High School Equivalence Certificate Program at Mesa Ridge High School in 1999.
