Alexis King, CID, received her BFA with high distinction in Interior Architecture from the California College of the Arts in 2000. After working for award winning design firms such as Gensler and Barbara Jacobs Interior Design, she started her own residential interior design practice. Alexis has worked on projects from Carmel Valley to Portland, OR and thoroughly enjoys the interior design process. She has served on the California College of the Arts Interior Design Advisory Committee as well as having served on the board for Theatre in the Mountains, a local non-profit community theatre organization. Alexis has recent personal experience with wilderness therapy and feels truly connected to the process of helping youth in crisis. She has been sober over 22 years and knows, first hand, how hard it can be to get one’s life back on track. She is grateful to be serving on the STLF board, as it affords her the ability to honor and give back to the process of recovery. She loves being mom to two amazing daughters and spending time in Maine at her family’s coastal property, paddle boarding in the cove.
