Pierre Bertrand has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Pierre co-founded Skynopy in 2023 and currently serves as the CEO. Prior to that, they worked as the France Program Director at Loft Orbital from 2019 to 2023. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Project Manager - Final Assembly Line at OneWeb Satellites. Additionally, they gained experience as an Algorithm Developer - Intern at Fitbit in 2016 and as a Business Developer - Intern at Earth2Orbit in the same year. Pierre also has research experience, having worked as a Research Assistant in Aerospace Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2013 to 2016 and as a Research Assistant at Ecole Centrale Paris from 2012 to 2013. Pierre collaborated with NASA as an Independent Data Analyst in 2015 and conducted a research project with the Centre national de la recherche scientifique in 2015 and 2016, focusing on astronaut self-rotation in microgravity.

Pierre Bertrand holds a Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they obtained from 2013 to 2016. Pierre also completed the Technology and Policy Program at the same institution during the same period. Prior to that, Pierre received their Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) from CentraleSupélec from 2011 to 2015. Pierre'seducational background includes studying Mathematics at Lycée Sainte-Geneviève from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, Pierre has obtained several certifications, including PSC1 from Protection Civile française in 2020, Private Aircraft Pilot from Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile in 2019, Advanced Open Water Diver from PADI in 2014, and BAFA from Ministère de l'Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse in 2009.
