Jack Wheatley began their work experience as a Sales Stock Associate at JB Hi-Fi in November 2017. Jack then worked as a Delicatessen Member at Woolworths Supermarkets from November 2018 to August 2021. In March 2021, Jack started their role as an Undergraduate Engineer at R&D Global Enterprises, where they gained practical experience in project engineering. Jack became proficient in Inventor, designing mechanical mechanisms and structural models, and worked closely with workshop staff. Jack also developed crucial safety skills and professional experience in excel and the system for a Bill of Materials (BoM). Jack was reliable and worked on client projects involving material and cost. Additionally, they regularly communicated with industrial companies for materials and lead time. In November 2022, Jack began working as a Production Engineer at Skykraft.

From 2018 to 2022, Jack Wheatley attended the University of Wollongong, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
