Dean Horsten has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Dean started their career at Tropos Networks and Juniper Networks as an Engineer from 2007 to 2009. Dean then worked at MTN Cameroon as an Engineer from 2007 to 2010. From 2007 to 2010, they also worked at Redline Communications as an Engineer and at Jasco as an Engineer, where they implemented wireless equipment and provided pre-sales assistance. In 2010, they joined Kentrox as an MEA Field Engineer, where they managed partners, planned network architecture, and provided pre-sales and sales support. At Aruba Networks, they held multiple roles including Systems Engineer for Sub-Saharan Africa, where they looked after the entire region and helped start up the African region. Dean also served as the Acting CSE and contributed to new product roadmaps. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at Fortinet as a Systems Engineer Secure Wireless Access. In 2017, they joined MySky Networks as the Chief Technology Officer, and later that year, they joined Skyfii as a Sales Engineer.
Dean Horsten attended Fourways High School from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained a senior certificate with an endorsement in Information Technology. Dean also holds several certifications, including NSE - 6 Integrated Wireless Specialist and NSE4 - Network Security Expert Level 4 from Fortinet. Additionally, they have certifications from Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, such as ACCP - Aruba Clear Pass Professional. Dean Horsten also has certifications from Cisco Systems France, Juniper Networks, and other institutions in various networking and security fields.
