Martín Santa María started their work experience in 2005 as a Graduation Intern at the Centro Internacional de Mecánica Computacional. Martín conducted research on automatic memory management and presented their findings at the ENIEF 2006 congress.

From 2007 to 2012, Martín worked as an R&D Software Engineer at Open Engineering.

In 2013, they joined FN Herstal as an R&D Software Engineer. Martín later became the R&D Software Manager, overseeing software development teams and implementing positive changes and culture shifts. Martín also performed budget estimations and supported project planning.

Since 2021, Martín has been working as the VMS Software Lead at Skydweller Aero.

Martín Santa María attended the Universidad Nacional del Litoral from 2002 to 2007. During this time, they pursued a degree in Computer Science and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
