Michael Seaman

Vice President It, Infrastructure & Security at Skopos Financial

Michael Seaman has extensive experience in information technology and security roles. Michael started their career as a Tier III Support Technician at NEXTEL OF TEXAS INC in 2004. Michael then worked as an IT Specialist at Cadbury Schweppes Bottling Group, where they led the migration to Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services. Later, they joined Murphy Oil USA, Inc. as an Information Technology Specialist, performing POS installations and upgrades.

In 2006, Seaman worked at Home Theater Design Group as a Lead Technician, specializing in home automation and audiovisual systems. Michael then served as a System Administrator at Enlightened Technology, responsible for maintaining Cisco-based networks and Windows servers.

Seaman worked as a System Administrator at Texedo Technologies from 2009 to 2012, providing IT consulting services to various clients. Michael then joined Juliette Fowler Communities as the Director of Information Technology, where they centralized systems management and optimized vendor services.

In 2019, Seaman held the role of VP IT, Infrastructure & Security at Reprise Financial, where they focused on security program execution and collaboration with executive leadership. Michael is currently the Vice President IT, Infrastructure & Security at Skopos Financial, leading the development and implementation of infrastructure strategies in alignment with overall IT and enterprise plans.

Throughout their career, Seaman has demonstrated expertise in security compliance, remote work deployment, data center modernization, and IT service management. Michael also operated as a self-employed Information Technology Consultant.

Michael Seaman has a diverse educational background in the field of information technology and management. Michael first attended Baylor University from 2000 to 2002, where they studied computer science. Michael then pursued an Associate's Degree in AAS IS Network Technologies at Tarrant County College from 2005 to 2008. Michael continued their education at Dallas College, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Business and Information Technologies from 2008 to 2014.

In 2015, Michael enrolled at Western Governors University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Security, completing their studies in 2016. Michael further advanced their education by pursuing two master's degrees simultaneously at The University of Texas at Dallas from 2018 to 2022. Michael obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science (MS) in Information Technology & Management with a focus on cybersecurity.

In addition to their formal education, Michael has also obtained various certifications throughout their career. Michael gained industry recognition as a Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO) from EC-Council in August 2022. Michael also acquired a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity Systems from The University of Texas at Dallas in May 2021. Michael further enhanced their credentials with certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in January 2020, Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security) from Cisco in September 2016, and INFOSEC 4011 from CNSS • Committee on National Security Systems in September 2016.

Further certifications include CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) and CompTIA Project+ from CompTIA in May 2016 and January 2016, respectively. Michael also holds certifications in Cisco technology, including Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) obtained in March 2015, Cisco Certified Network Associate Voice (CCNA VOIP) from Cisco Networking Academy in May 2010, and Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) acquired in May 2007. Michael started their certification journey with CompTIA A+ from CompTIA in April 2001.
