Sebastian Lothary has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Sebastian started their career as a Software-Entwickler at COMVIMA AG in 2001 before moving on to become a Systemtechniker at T-Systems International later that year. In 2001, they transitioned to T-Online International AG, where they worked as an IT Consultant until 2006. From 2006 to 2007, Lothary served as a Senior Information Technology Consultant at T-Com GmbH, Geschäftseinheit T-Online International AG. Sebastian then joined Deutsche Telekom Kundenservice GmbH in 2007, where they continued to work as a Senior Information Technology Consultant until 2008. Lothary then moved to Deutsche Telekom, where they held the positions of Senior Information Technology Consultant and Senior Referent Portallösungen from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, they joined Telekom Deutschland GmbH as a Senior Referent Portallösungen and stayed there until 2012. Lothary then worked at Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions from 2012 to 2023, taking on various roles such as Senior Referent Portallösungen, ICT Business Analyst, IT-Projektleiter, and finally, Leiter Solution Design Order Management and Supply Chain. In 2019, they also served as a Lehrbeauftragter Informatik at Wilhelm Büchner Hochschule. Finally, in 2023, Lothary started their own company, Skillties, where they currently hold the role of Co-Founder and CTO.

Sebastian Lothary is currently a PhD candidate in Informatik at FernUniversität in Hagen. Prior to their PhD program, they completed a Master of Science degree in Wirtschaftsinformatik at Wilhelm Büchner Hochschule from 2015 to 2016. Before their master's degree, Sebastian obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Wirtschaftsinformatik from the same institution, Wilhelm Büchner Hochschule, from 2012 to 2015.
