Akshata Avarsekar has worked in various roles in the design industry since 2017. In 2017, they worked as an Industrial Design Intern at Insync Design, where they were involved in sketching, designing and prototyping multiple iterations for a product and driving the designs for development. In 2018, they worked as a Product Design Intern at Sideways Consulting, where they were heavily involved in the entirety of the design process, from research and conceptualization to development and testing. In 2020, they worked as a Designer and Strategist at Le Bon Four Patisserie, where they designed the logo and affordable packaging for the brand. In 2021, they worked as a Product Designer at Avasa Design Studio, where they designed furniture based on the requirements of the clients and created 3D plans to provide a spatial experience for them. Currently, they are working as an Associate Product Manager at ZAKKI, managing a team of UX/UI designers and researchers to design and develop an online platform for the elderly/beneficiaries to sell their goods online.
Akshata Avarsekar has a background in Industrial Design. Akshata started their educational journey in 2012, when they attended Bhavans College for High School/Secondary Certificate Programs. From 2014 to 2017, they attended Rubika for Industrial and Product Design. In 2018, they began their Master of Arts in Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London, and graduated in 2020 with a Distinction.
