Peter Hekman is an experienced engineering professional specializing in systems integration and project management within the field of radio astronomy and telecommunications. Currently serving as a Systems Integration Engineer at the SKA Observatory, Peter Hekman has held various roles at the Square Kilometer Array since 2013, including AIV MID Lead Engineer and Engineering Project Manager for Assemble, Integration, and Verification. Previous positions include Work Package Manager for the ALMA project at the European Southern Observatory, RF Innovations & Strategy Manager at Alcatel-Lucent, Director of Engineering at MA-COM, and various engineering roles at NXP Semiconductors, the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope, and Hollands Signal. Peter Hekman holds a degree in Telecommunications and Electrical Engineering from HTS Enschede.
