Michael Oberlander is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as General Counsel at Freightos, an online marketplace for global shipping, since April 2021. With extensive experience in the financial technology sector, Oberlander has also been a Mentor and Limited Partner at SixThirty Financial Technology Accelerator since January 2016, providing guidance to FinTech startups. Previously, Oberlander held the role of Chief Philanthropy Officer at the Jewish Federation of St. Louis, where record fundraising results were achieved through a comprehensive community needs assessment and strategic planning. Prior to that, Oberlander was Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Caleres, Inc., managing the legal and risk management departments. Oberlander's legal career began at Bryan Cave LLP, where expertise in corporate governance and securities law was developed. Oberlander holds a JD from Vanderbilt University Law School and an AB in Political Science from the University of Chicago.
