Anna Guerrero, APNP, PMHNP-BC, PMH-C has a diverse work experience in the field of psychiatric mental health. Anna started as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the Sixteenth Street Community Health Center in 2017, serving an underserved population primarily consisting of Spanish-speaking adults and geriatrics. Anna later transitioned into the role of Director of Behavioral Health, overseeing clinical, operational, finance, and strategic responsibilities within the organization. Anna also served as the BH Leadership Team's Psychiatry Department Lead, focusing on improving quality indicators and mentoring psychiatric practitioners. Alongside their work in clinical settings, they were an Assistant Professor at Alverno College, teaching psychopharmacology and clinical courses in the PMHNP program. Prior to these roles, Anna gained experience as an Inpatient Adult Psychiatric-Mental Health Registered Nurse and a Behavioral Health Nurse Educator at Aurora Health Care. Throughout their career, Anna has shown a commitment to providing quality psychiatric care, mentoring others, and advocating for mental health awareness.
Anna Guerrero completed their Bachelor's Degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse with a minor in Psychology at Alverno College from 2004 to 2009. Anna then went on to earn their Master's Degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Alverno College between 2015 and 2017. Anna also obtained additional certifications including Perinatal Mental Health Certification in 2022 and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified in 2017.
