Emma Fowler has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Emma started their career as a Co-op Student at PDCI Market Access Inc., where they provided technical and analytical support for pharmaceutical research projects. Afterwards, at the Ecole normale supérieure de Lyon, they worked as a Co-op Student, focusing on synthetic chemistry and biomimetic polymer preparation. Emma then joined the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute as a Co-op and Honours Thesis Student, gaining experience in long-term project planning, stem cell culture, and DNA preparation.
Later on, they became a Head Guard/Swimming Instructor and Examiner at Dovercourt Recreation Association, where they oversaw aquatic safety and instruction. At McGill University/Jewish General Hospital, Emma pursued a Masters of Science degree, specializing in an undisclosed area. Emma also worked as a Research Assistant while attending McGill, focusing on part-time research duties.
Emma then transitioned into the field of medical writing, starting as a Medical Writer at IC Axon. Emma progressed to a Senior Medical Writer role and eventually became a Principal Medical Writer. In their latest position at Six Degrees Medical, they continue to work as a Principal Medical Writer.
Emma Fowler completed their Honours BSc. in Biochemistry at the University of Ottawa from 2011 to 2015. Emma later pursued a Master's degree in Experimental Medicine at McGill University from 2016 to 2018.
