Amir Cohen's work experience includes various roles in the field of IT. Amir started their career in 1996 as a help desk person at Iska Tova, where they installed, configured, and supported MS Windows OS and applications. Amir then became a system and helpdesk team leader, responsible for all database operations on Windows and Linux platforms. Amir also handled organizational information security, including firewall management and enterprise penetration tests. Following that, Amir worked as a DBA, administering Oracle and SQL Server databases. From 2005 to 2011, they served as an IT manager at Iska Tova, overseeing IT operations, implementing new technologies, and managing three teams. Since 2011, Amir has been working as an integration and configuration person at Sivron, installing and supporting financial software in banks operating in Israel. Amir'smain focus is on infrastructures issues such as critical databases, networking environments, and Windows operating systems.
Amir Cohen obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Foreign Affairs from the Open University of Israel, graduating in 2004. In 1998, they began their studies at the university and completed them after six years.
In 1997, Amir enrolled in John Bryce Training, where they pursued a degree in Certified Novell Administrator (CNA), specializing in Novell Networks. This program lasted for a year, ending in 1998.
Additionally, Amir attended John Bryce Training in 1999 and 2000, focusing on Database Administration (DBA) for Oracle 8. This course lasted for two years, providing him with skills in Oracle database management.
Furthering their database expertise, Amir embarked on a program at John Bryce Training in 2003. Amir pursued a degree in Oracle Discoverer User and Admin, enhancing their knowledge in utilizing and administrating Oracle Discoverer, a business intelligence tool. This program lasted for a year.
In 2008, Amir joined the John Bryce Training once again to expand their skills in database administration. Amir completed a program specializing in Oracle 10g DBA and SQL Server 2005/2008 DBA, which lasted for a year, concluding in 2009.
