Richard W. Welch, Ph.D. serves as Vice President CMC at Sirnaomics, Inc., overseeing all aspects of development and manufacturing for siRNA-based therapeutics since September 2021. Prior to this role, Richard held multiple leadership positions at Emergent BioSolutions, including Vice President of Development Services and Vice President of Process and Analytical Development, where significant achievements included the expansion of development services and leading teams for drug product manufacturing processes. Richard's career includes pivotal roles at Lonza Inc., Chesapeake PERL, Claragen, and North American Vaccine, contributing to commercial and biodefense projects. Richard earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry from Rice University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
