Sergey Kapishnikov is an accomplished professional in the field of imaging applications and biomedical research, currently serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at University College Dublin since January 2024 and as the Director of Imaging Applications at SiriusXT since July 2022. Previously, Sergey held positions such as Engineering Manager at Plazmamax LTD and Research Scientist at the Weizmann Institute of Science, where significant contributions included leadership of the X-ray MicroCT Lab and development of advanced imaging methods. An experienced project leader, Sergey has worked extensively on non-destructive X-ray tomography, computational data analysis, and software development for multimodal imaging across various renowned institutions, including the University of Copenhagen and Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin. Sergey holds a PhD in Materials Science from the Weizmann Institute of Science, complemented by an MS degree and a BS in Materials Engineering/Engineering Physics.
