Fergal O'Reilly has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple fields and industries. Fergal started their career in 1998 as a Plasma Systems Developer at Plasma Ireland Ltd. From there, they moved on to work as a Product Development Engineer at NTera Ltd in 2001. In 2003, they joined Enterprise Ireland as a Research Scientist before transitioning to NewLambda Technologies in 2012, where they served as the Chief Scientific Officer until 2015. In the same year, they joined SiriusXT as the Chief Scientist. Currently, Fergal holds the position of Adjunct Professor and Research and Innovation Officer at University College Dublin.
Fergal O'Reilly completed their undergraduate education at University College Dublin from 1990 to 1994, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Experimental Physics. Fergal subsequently pursued further academic achievement, studying Atomic Spectroscopy and obtaining a PhD from University College Dublin between 1994 and 1998.
