Adriaan van der Hek has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and industries.

Adriaan started their career at World Online as a Technical Sales Consultant in 2000. Adriaan then moved on to Tiscali as a Sales Manager, where they worked from 2000 to 2005.

In 2005, Adriaan joined ilocal, where they played a crucial role in sales and marketing. During their tenure, they helped build the organization and facilitated a partnership with Wegener.

From 2006 to 2010, they served as the COO of Compare Group, overseeing the operations of multiple product comparison websites.

Adriaan then co-founded Libersy in 2010 and served as its CEO until 2016. Libersy, an online appointment SaaS company focused on Beauty, Health, and Automotive sectors, grew under their leadership and developed an advanced application for conversion optimization.

In 2016, they filled the role of General Manager a.i. at Trendzer Nederland, where they set up the organization for the launch of KPN.com/websitecoach.

Adriaan joined Shopping Minds in 2016 as COO and later became the CEO in 2018. Shopping Minds specializes in data activation and personalization to maximize revenue from website visitors.

In 2019, they became the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of Convious, an all-in-one SaaS platform for the leisure industry. Afterward, they became the COO and contributed to the company's mission to improve the visitor experience.

Adriaan'smost recent role is as the VP of Operations at HomeBuddy. HomeBuddy is an online home improvement marketplace with a strong customer acquisition track record and global operations.

Adriaan van der Hek attended HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht) from 1992 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Algemene Operationele Technologie (Institute for Engineering and Design). Adriaan later pursued a management training program at Het Tiende Huis in 2010, focusing on organizational leadership. Prior to their university education, they also attended Scutos, now part of MBO Utrecht, from 1990 to 1992 and obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering (MTS Werktuigbouwkunde).
