Ryan Timmerman currently serves as the Regional Sports Editor for the Sioux City Journal since April 2023, while also working as a Sports Reporter for the Muscatine Journal since January 2019. In addition to covering area high schools and local sporting events, Ryan contributes as a Writer for Def Pen and Medium.com, focusing on general sports topics and self-publishing non-sports content. Previous experience includes writing for LastWordOnSports.com, specializing in professional and NCAA basketball, as well as Major League Baseball coverage. Ryan's career began with hands-on work as a Farm Hand at Klein Bros. Farm from 2006 to 2015. Ryan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, obtained between 2011 and 2014.
