Shashikant Patel has a diverse work experience in various companies. Shashikant is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Singlife since April 2023. Prior to this role, they were an Engineering Lead at Singlife from June 2022 to March 2023. Before joining Singlife, Shashikant worked at KPMG Singapore as a Manager in the Financial Services Advisory department from October 2020 to June 2022. Shashikant also has experience working at Tokio Marine Insurance Group (Asia) as a Solution Delivery Manager from January 2016 to October 2020. Before that, they held multiple roles at Aviva Singapore including Assistant Manager, System Analyst, Senior Application Analyst, and Application Analyst from 2011 to 2015. Shashikant started their career at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) as an Associate Application Developer from August 2008 to July 2010 and later served as an Application Development Engineer from August 2010 to December 2010.

Shashikant Patel completed their secondary education from Kendriya Vidyalaya between 1991 and 2003, obtaining the AISSCE in Maths and Science. From 2004 to 2008, they attended Shri G S Institute of Technology & Science, where they earned a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2023. Shashikant also holds certifications in ALMI from LOMA and TOGAF® 9 from The Open Group, although the specific dates of completion are not provided.
