Mitchell Vlaar has a diverse work experience. Mitchell started their career as a Production Assistant at Single Quantum in January 2018 and worked in that role until May 2019. Mitchell then transitioned to being an Assembly Technician from June 2019 to January 2021. During their time at Single Quantum, they also completed an internship from April 2020 to July 2020. In January 2021, they took on the role of Junior Development Engineer at the same company, and they are currently in this position.

Prior to their time at Single Quantum, Mitchell worked at TU Delft. Mitchell was a Collegerama Operator and a Studenten Mentor from August 2015 to March 2017. From July 2017 to December 2018, they worked as a Student Assistant at TU Delft.

Mitchell Vlaar completed their education at various institutions. Mitchell began in 2013 at Petrus Canisius College, where they pursued an Atheneum degree with a focus on Natuur en Techniek (Natural Sciences and Technology). After completing this program, Mitchell enrolled at Delft University of Technology from 2014 to 2018, earning their Bachelor's degree in Civiele techniek (Civil Engineering). Following their undergraduate studies, Mitchell continued at Delft University of Technology for their Master of Science degree in Luchtvaart- en ruimtevaarttechniek (Aerospace Engineering), which they pursued from 2019 to 2023.
