Betsey Gardstein has worked in a variety of roles in the field of epidemiology and programming since 2000. Betsey began their career as a Tutor at Summit Educational Group in 2000, followed by a Technical Data Administrator role at Haley & Aldrich in 2006. Betsey then moved to OptumInsight in 2008 as an Epidemiology Analyst I, followed by a similar role at Optum in 2011. In 2014, they became an Analytic Programmer at RxAnte, LLC, followed by a Research Associate III, Real-World Evidence role at Evidera in 2015. In 2017, they began working at Syneos Health Clinical Solutions (Previously INC Research/inVentiv Health) as a Senior Statistical Programmer, exclusively on epidemiologic projects for Amgen's Data and Analytic Center. Betsey then moved to SimulStat Incorporated in 2019, where they held roles as a Senior Statistical Programmer and a Line Manager/Lead Programmer. In 2020, they returned to SimulStat Incorporated as a Line Manager/Lead Programmer and a Senior Statistical Programmer.
Betsey Gardstein completed their high school diploma at Great Neck South High School in 1993. Betsey then went on to receive a BA in Biology from Brown University in 1997. Finally, in 2002, they earned an MSPH in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
