Meraf Asfaw is an experienced communications and IT professional currently serving as the Information Technology Communications Manager at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP since June 2023. Previously, Meraf worked at the USDA from January 2018 to June 2023, holding roles such as IT Project Manager and Senior Communications Analyst, where extensive communications support was provided for various high-level initiatives. Prior experience includes positions as Creative Director at the Washington Hotel, Program Manager at Voice of America, and Marketing Manager at Addis Ababa Restaurant, among others. Meraf holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Maryland, as well as certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
