Rut Steinsen is an accomplished executive with a diverse background in finance and management. Since May 2015, Rut has served as both CEO and CFO of SimplyBook.me, steering the growth of the company in the booking software industry. In addition, Rut has been a Member of the Board of Directors at Brunnur Ventures since September 2022, contributing to a $65 million venture fund focused on investing in emerging companies in Iceland. Previous experience includes roles as Credit Manager at Municipality Credit Iceland from October 2008 to September 2014, and Manager in Leveraged Finance at Glitnir Bank from 2005 to 2008. Rut began a professional career as an Analyst at KPMG Audit Iceland from September 2002 to March 2005. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from SKEMA Business School, a Licenced Stock Broker designation from Reykjavik University, and a Cand.Oecon. in Business and Financial Accounting from Háskóli Íslands.
