Ingvar Gudmundsson has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Ingvar started their career as a Sales Consultant at Marel in 1996 and then moved on to work as the General Manager for the production plant in France at Bakkavor from 1997 to 1999. In 2005, they joined Vaka Bjorgunarfelag hf as the General Manager until 2007. Ingvar then founded and served as the CEO of SimplyBook.me (formerly known as DoReserve.com), a company they started in 2008 and renamed in 2010. Ingvar currently holds the position of Founder and VP Sales at SimplyBook.me, a role they have been in since July 2018.

Ingvar Gudmundsson pursued their education in a chronological manner. Ingvar completed their Bachelor+1 degree in Electrical engineering from Háskóli Íslands between 1989 and 1993. Following this, they attended DTU - Technical University of Denmark from 1995 to 1996, where they obtained a Master’s Degree in Industrial engineering.
