Dean Carroll has a comprehensive work experience history spanning over a decade. Dean started their career in 2010 as a Bar Tender at The Harbour Bar & Grill and also worked as a Waiter at The Church Bar and Restaurant. They pursued full-time education at the National College of Ireland from 2010 to 2014 while working part-time.

Dean had an internship as a Digital Learning Intern at All Hallows College in 2013. During this time, they aided in the upgrade of the college Moodle version, designed and themed the new Moodle site, and trained staff on new Moodle features.

In 2014, Dean briefly worked as a Bar Manager at Chapter One, where they managed floor staff, responded to customer inquiries, and trained staff in understanding the point of service software.

From 2016 to 2021, Dean had multiple roles. They worked as an Assistant Manager at Idlewild Dublin, where they worked hands-on with a team, delegated tasks, and provided a high level of service to customers. They also worked as a Creative Director at We Are Runners, where they took responsibility for the creative direction of photo shoots and edited photographs to client standards using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

Dean's next role was as an Assistant Design Editor at News Ireland from 2016 to 2021. They oversaw the design, layout, and graphics of The Irish Sun, processed images and graphics using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and provided creative direction.

In 2021, Dean worked as a Technical Director at A BUTCHERS HOOK. They assisted with ideation surrounding client briefs, led the editing process of photo and video content, and managed equipment and personnel on shoot days.

Currently, Dean is working as a Creative Director at Simply Social, starting in 2023. Further details regarding this role are not provided.

Dean Carroll obtained their Leaving Certificate from Skerries Community College in 2010. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science at the National College of Ireland, which they completed between 2010 and 2014. In 2022, Dean enrolled at Technological University Dublin, where they are currently earning a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Creative Digital Media with a focus on User Experience and Interaction Design.
