Thomas Echelberger is a skilled Materials Scientist at Simplifyber, specializing in the design and creation of sustainable footwear and textiles. Since October 2022, Thomas has managed multiple projects, optimized manufacturing techniques, and ensured quality assurance in a start-up environment. Formerly, Thomas served as a Material Science Intern and a Continuous Improvement Intern at ARAUCO - North America, where responsibilities included updating standard operating procedures, sample testing, and maintaining safety standards. Thomas also contributed as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University, focusing on the biodegradability of textile materials and advancing processes in pulp engineering. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Materials and Technology from North Carolina State University.
