Clayton Webster has a strong background in engineering and software development. Clayton served as the Chief Executive Officer at Simplify3D, a leading provider of 3D printing software. In this role, they oversaw the development and implementation of software used by professionals worldwide. Clayton also worked at GE Aviation as a Design Engineer, specializing in advanced supersonic exhaust systems for military aircraft. Additionally, they completed the Edison Engineering Development Program at GE Aviation, which included technical classes and a masters degree from Ohio State University.

Clayton Webster earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 2010. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in the same field at The Ohio State University from 2011 to 2013.
