Simon Newkirk has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Simon began their career in 2010 at Pojos Family Fun Ctr as a Team Leader, where they worked until 2019. In 2019, Simon joined SimpleVoIP as a VoIP Support Technician and later progressed to the role of Systems Support Engineer. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Systems Engineer and Support Director at SimpleVoIP, a role they have been in since October 2021.

Simon Newkirk completed their Associate of Science degree in Cyber Security at the College of Western Idaho from 2017 to 2019. Simon then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance at Western Governors University, which they are expected to complete from 2022 to 2024. Simon also obtained various certifications, including Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) from ISC2 in January 2024, CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist – CSIS Stackable Certification from CompTIA in July 2023, CompTIA Security+ ce Certification in July 2023, and CompTIA Network+ in May 2023. Simon also holds certifications from Microsoft and Udemy but the exact dates of obtaining those certifications are not specified.
