Rebecca Hachey has over seven years of professional experience in technology and software development. Rebecca began their career in 2013 as a Research Programmer at the University of Pittsburgh, where they designed, developed, and maintained Python data processing pipelines for dMRI and MRI data. Rebecca also implemented best practices for software architecture, documentation, versioning, and testing, and generated documentation and trained non-programmer lab members on using the pipelines. In 2018, Hachey joined Simpatico Studios as Vice President of Technology & Shareholder and Senior Developer. In this role, they took complete ownership of WordPress website development, edits, and maintenance, and developed custom WordPress themes and setup eCommerce stores. Rebecca also handled IT challenges for the agency, from SSL and WordPress installations to security and best practices.

Rebecca Hachey received their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011, after having attended the school from 2008. Rebecca then went on to receive their Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013.
